• Account & Identity Data: Driver name, company identifier, email address, phone number, and employee reference code.
• Location & Telematics Data (Driver App): Precise or approximate GPS coordinates collected during active shifts for automated geofencing, route verification, proof of delivery timestamps, and wait-time demurrage calculation.
• Proof of Delivery & Media: Digital signatures, customer recipient names, and camera captures/photographs of cargo condition, delivery tickets, and defect reports.
• Operational Telemetry: Vehicle registration, trailer number, fuel purchases, walkaround inspection results, and duty shift hours.

3. Background Location Tracking

The Haulage Focus Driver application may collect real-time location data when an active transport job is in progress to facilitate accurate site arrival/departure detection and customer ETA calculations. Drivers are clearly notified when location services are active, and tracking can be suspended when off-duty.

4. How We Use Your Data

We process personal and operational data for the following lawful business purposes:

• Facilitating transport dispatch, load allocations, and journey execution.
• Generating statutory compliance records (such as Working Time Directive summaries and DVSA walkaround records).
• Providing digital Proof of Delivery documents to haulage operators and their consignors.
• Ensuring application stability, crash diagnosis, and platform security.

5. Data Retention & Security

All communications between mobile clients and our cloud APIs are encrypted using industry-standard TLS/HTTPS protocols. Data is stored within secure AWS data centers with strict role-based access control and tenant isolation. Data is retained only as long as necessary to fulfill transport contract terms and statutory regulatory obligations.

Under UK GDPR and European Data Protection laws, you have the right to request access to your personal information, request rectification of inaccurate records, or request deletion of account data where statutory retention laws permit.
